Artist Statement

Portrait of Lucille Huang

Lucille Huang is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice centers on interaction and digital art. Working across installation art, digital platforms, and software, she explores how humans, technology, and art interact with and influence one another. Her work has been selected for the London Design Festival and has received multiple design awards.

My practice explores the evolving relationship between humans, technology, and identity. I am interested in how technological change reshapes the way we perceive ourselves, experience our bodies, and connect with the world around us. I work with form, spatial relationships, and reflective materials to create works that invite physical and psychological interaction. I am drawn to the space between who we are now and who we may become, particularly as technology becomes increasingly embedded in everyday life. Through my work, I explore the fluid boundaries between human and technology, embracing uncertainty and imagining how our identities may continue to evolve in an increasingly technological world.

Work Statement

Infinity Us is a 3-piece mixed media work exploring how technology continuously transforms our sense of self. The three forms represent the individual, technology, and a dissolving future self. Together, they reflect an ongoing cycle in which humans shape technology while technology reshapes how we think, behave, and experience our bodies.

Reflective materials capture the viewer and surrounding environment, making the work constantly change through interaction. This creates a fluid relationship between the object, the body, and its surroundings.

Rather than imagining a defined future, Infinity Us embraces uncertainty and asks what we may become as the boundaries between human and technology continue to dissolve.

Infinity Us was presented in Mind × Body: Catalyst Phenomenon Archive, organised by the Reality Intelligence Association as part of London Design Festival 2026.
